Who we are

Courtney is an accomplished nonprofit and healthcare executive with more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience serving at such global social innovators as UT Southwestern Medical Center, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Baylor Scott & White Health, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Travelocity.com, and Evernorth Health Services, a Cigna Group corporation.

Through these opportunities, Courtney has gained extensive experience building and transforming private and public sector organizations in areas such as domestic and international fundraising, business and philanthropic operations, strategic planning, conflict resolution, global strategic sourcing, talent strategies (including employee engagement and retention strategies, insourcing, and outsourcing), technology and data management, program and performance analysis, contract and grant management, donor and prospect stewardship, event planning, outcome and performance measurement, integrated marketing, corporate relations, and cause related marketing.

Throughout her career, Courtney has been privileged to serve as a trusted advisor to all levels of leadership, including Presidents, members of the C-suite, Vice Presidents, and middle management, who are navigating a wide range of challenges. She also serves as a trusted mentor to a number of men and women in various stages of their career. Trust, rapport, and confidentiality are the cornerstones of these relationships and she values them immensely.

Courtney holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from the International School of Management in Paris, France, a Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, a Masters in Public Service & Administration from The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University, and Bachelors degrees in International Studies and History from Texas A&M University. She also holds graduate certificates in Nonprofit Management annd Advanced International Affairs from The Bush School and a Chief of Staff certification from the University of Oxford’s Said Business School. Phew! Can you tell she is a lifelong learner?!

Research interests include how nonprofit organizations can better leverage digital transformation and AI to more effectively and efficiently fundraise, steward prospects and donors, and reduce operating expenses by investing in the talent, systems, and technology that advance their mission.

Courtney founded A Noble Calling because she was inspired by President George H. W. Bush and his belief that “public service is a noble calling.” As such, Courtney has dedicated her life to helping individuals and organizations who are focused on enriching the lives of others.
